Made it to Ypsilant MI!

It's a delight to see my Grandfather Con, Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob. I'll be down for a week or so nursing some leg injuries. Will hit the road soon!

Anatomy of a Cross-Country Bike Trip

1. bike tent 2. 30degree sleeping bag 3. bike gloves 4. four sets of t-shirts, socks, underwear (no cotton) 5. sandals 6. bike clip-in shoes 7. spandex shorts, helmet 8. spare tires, tubes, bike tools, hammock, long-sleeve shirt, thermal pants 9. Lumix point-and-shoooot 10. backpack with Gu, pillow and wallet 11. bike lock 12. directions sleeve 13. tire pump 14. three water bottles 15. medical/hygiene supplies 16. Surly "Long Haul" touring bike.

1st stop locked in. Rochester NY! The hills of Vermont and New York are unforgiving. What's worse: the lack of beautiful mountain-as vista or trudging up-hill to see it? It's good to be in the middle of the country:)

The total pool of ALS donating is up to $1,535. A great start but we still need to make it to $3,600!

(This site is not the only way we accept ALS donations hence the different total on the community page)
